Disk Space Limit

This is the disk storage space allotted to your account. You can upload files of up to this amount of total space to your account.

Data Transfer Limit

You can serve up to this amount of data from your account each month. For example, if you have a Web page that is 200K in file size, and that page is viewed 4 times during a month; that will count as 800K of data transfer.

Maximum Number of Pages

When using the included Web design software, EasySiteWizard™, there is a limit on the number of pages available in your site. If you use the file manager function to host a site that you had built elsewhere, then there is no limit to the number of pages available in your site.

UNIX and Windows Compatible

All accounts are by default UNIX accounts, but simply enable FrontPage extensions, Cold Fusion, or Active Server Pages for no additional cost to transform your account into a Windows hosting service.

FTP Supported

This account supports File Transfer Protocol (FTP). FTP is used to move files to your hosting account from another computer. This account also has a built-in FTP client instead of requiring you to find and download your own FTP client, but outside FTP clients are supported if you choose to use one.

Built-in FTP Client

No need to locate, purchase and download an FTP client to allow you to get your files up on your hosting account. Instead you can use the built-in FTP client that is easily accessible from the hosting account's main control panel.

File Manager

The file manager function allows you to take full control of your Web site's files. It is a safe alternative to full shell access for sophisticated users. You can copy, move, delete, rename and edit files, create and remove directories, change file permissions and upload files from your local computer to the server. File manager is best used to manipulate files that have been previously uploaded to your Web site. To upload more than one file at a time, an FTP client is generally more efficient.

Web Stats is a Web server log file analysis program. It produces usage statistics from your Web site's server logs. The reports available include visits per Web page, top site referrers and many others.

Access to Log Files

Log files are stats that keep track of what pages and areas of your site that users are visiting. Using Web Stats and the Log Manager you can download, view manage and delete your log files.

MS FrontPage® 2002 Extensions

If you have built your Web site with Microsoft's FrontPage application, you can upload that Web site to this hosting account.

PHP with PHP Manager

A server-side scripting language. The PHP commands, which are embedded in the Web page's HTML, are executed on the Web server to generate dynamic HTML pages. PHP Manager allows you to choose which version of PHP you'd like to use.

CGI-Bin

Abbreviation for Common Gateway Interface. This is an interface standard which provides a method of executing a server-side program (script) from a Web site to generate a Web page with dynamic content.

Microsoft ASP™

Microsoft Active Server Page (ASP) is a server-side scripting technology that can be used to create dynamic and interactive Web applications. An ASP page is an HTML page that contains server-side scripts that are processed by a Web server before being sent to the user's browser. You can combine ASP with Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) to create powerful interactive Web sites.
